Recommended Service Intervals: Jeep
Jeep vehicles require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance both on and off the road. Here’s a summary of the standard service intervals for most new Jeep models:
Every 7,500–10,000 Miles (or 6–12 Months)
- Oil and filter change
- Tire rotation
- Multi-point inspection (brakes, battery, belts, hoses, fluid levels, lights, exhaust, engine cooling system)
- Inspect and clean battery terminals
- Inspect engine air filter (replace sooner if driving in dusty/off-road conditions)
Every 12,000 Miles
- Replace cabin (climate control) air filter
Every 20,000 Miles
- Inspect universal joints, front suspension, tie rod ends, front/rear axle fluid, brake linings
- Replace cabin air filter
- Inspect transfer case fluid
- Check CV joints, parking brake, and exhaust system
Every 30,000 Miles
- Replace engine air filter
- Inspect or replace manual transmission fluid (if used for towing, off-roading, or heavy-duty use)
Every 40,000 Miles
- Change front and rear axle fluid (especially if used for towing/off-roading)
- Repeat prior inspections and replacements
Every 60,000 Miles
- Replace spark plugs (if applicable)
- Change transfer case fluid
- Change transmission fluid (manual/automatic, especially for heavy use)
- Major inspection of all systems
Every 100,000 Miles
- Replace spark plugs (if not already done)
- Inspect and replace PCV valve
- Inspect/replace drive belts
- Flush and replace coolant (engine and intercooler, if equipped)
Monthly Checks
- Check fluid levels (engine oil, brake, coolant, washer)
- Check tire pressure
- Inspect lights and wipers
Additional Notes
- Severe driving (off-roading, towing, dusty environments, extreme heat) may require more frequent service, especially for oil changes, air filters, and fluids.
- Always consult your Jeep’s owner’s manual for model-specific guidance, as intervals can vary.
