Why should I choose Gemba over a dealership?
We offer personalized service, competitive pricing, and treat every customer like family. Our focus is on building long-term relationships and delivering high-quality work at fair prices. We also have access to all the same factory parts that the dealerships would order but because we have way less over-head than a dealership, we are able to pass those savings onto you!

Yes! Our team includes certified, professional technicians with extensive training and expertise to ensure your vehicle receives the best care possible.
Do I need an appointment for service?
Appointments are recommended to ensure prompt service but we also love walk-ins! You can schedule online or give us a call to schedule an appointment.

We’re open Monday through Saturday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. Closed on Sundays. Hours may vary on holidays—please check our website or call ahead for details.
Do you offer shuttle or loaner vehicles?
Yes, if requested, we will schedule you a complimentary Uber ride within a 10-mile radius of our shop.
Do you offer free estimates?
We will provide you an estimate before starting any work on your vehicle. As a matter of fact, part of our “Gemba Hospitality” is that every vehicle gets a free inspection by our ‘Gemba Pit Crew”. Even if you are just here for an oil change, we will always check the main safety points of your vehicle – under the vehicle and under the hood. Some in-depth diagnostic services may have a fee, but we’ll always explain any charges up front. Some free inspections we always offer include brake inspections, alignment checks, battery health checks, and check-engine-light code reads.
Will I be informed if the estimate changes?
Absolutely! First and foremost, we will always address the issue you came to us for. We also have a professional obligation to inform you if we find any issues or areas that need your attention as they pertain to the safety of your vehicle. If we find additional issues during service, we’ll contact you immediately to discuss options and get your approval before proceeding.
Do you offer coupons or specials?
Yes! We frequently have coupons, rebates, and seasonal specials to help you save on maintenance and repairs. Check out our Coupons page.
How often should I get an oil change?
Most vehicles require an oil change every 3,000–5,000 miles; however, as vehicles evolve and become more robust, most modern vehicles can go up to 7,000 miles without an oil change. We have access to all the manufacturers’ recommended service intervals, including oil and filter change services. Gemba is also a proud partner of Carfax, which means whenever we perform any services on your vehicle, we share that data with Carfax and it automatically updates the Carfax history report for you to access on the Carfax app. We will send you a friendly reminder when you are due for your next oil change just as if you had gone to the dealership.
What are the most important preventative maintenance items?
Key items include oil and filter changes, brake inspections, tire rotations and alignments, fluid checks, and belt/hoses inspections. Staying on top of these helps avoid major repairs and keeps your car safe.
How do I know if my brakes need service?
Common signs include squeaking or grinding noises, longer stopping distances, or a soft brake pedal. If you notice any of these, schedule a brake inspection as soon as possible.
Why is my check engine light on?
A check engine light can indicate anything from a loose gas cap to a serious engine issue. We recommend bringing your vehicle in for a diagnostic check to determine the specific cause. There are two different levels of diagnosing a check-engine light. The first level, which we perform for free, is what’s called a “code read.” We have a device we can quickly hook up to your vehicle and it will give us a code that tells us where the issue is coming from within your vehicle. This engine code gives our technicians a general idea of which major mechanical system is experiencing the issue and causing the check-engine light to come on. This is especially helpful if the issue is simple (such as a loose gas cap). If the issue is larger, further time and diagnosing may be needed. For instance, an engine code might indicate that there is an issue with the transmission but does not tell us exactly what is wrong with the transmission, just where to begin inspecting. Further diagnostics and more time allows us to find exactly what in the transmission is causing the issue. Most repair shops do not charge for the code read but do charge for the further diagnostic.
Will you explain repairs before starting work?
Yes. We believe in clear communication and will walk you through any recommended repairs or maintenance, answering all your questions in plain language. We will also prioritize any issues we find in order of importance, so you know what needs immediate attention and what can wait.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. We offer a 2-year/24,000 mile warranty.
How do you handle customer communication?
We keep you informed every step of the way from check-in all the way through check-out and beyond!
